The Berkshires Summer Trip gives guests a unique combination of the best accommodations in the region. From the historic Red Lion Inn to the chic and modern industrial feel of the Porches Inn or Tourists, this trip provides insight into the different aesthetic of each town. Guests will stay at three different inns, including a quaint New England Bed & Breakfast as part of the week such as the Birchwood Inn or the Brook Farm Inn, both historic landmarks in the town of Lenox.
While guests won’t be spending too much time in their hotel or inn, we ensure that each spot has top-notch relaxation space. From rocking chairs on a front porch, to spacious living rooms, guests will have the opportunity to relax, enjoy a drink and take in the views of each destination. Each of our four 2019 trips includes a different combination of inns and hotels, please contact our team if you have questions or are particularly interested in any of the venues.
Accommodation Highlights in The Berkshires
Red Lion Inn
The epitome of New England charm and style, the Red Lion Inn has welcomed guests since 1773. Decorated with classic antiques, including a functional birdcage elevator, the inn seamlessly combines modern amenities with a historic atmosphere. The hotel features luxurious accommodations and onsite fine dining and entertainment, all within the heart of downtown Stockbridge.
Featured by the New York Times, Boston Globe and Wall Street Journal, Tourists is a hotel and riverside retreat in North Adams. The hotel is a union of design and nature, home to woodland trails, riverbank vistas, sculptural installations and more. The funky vibe of a modern motel renovated into a resort, Tourists includes a scenic pool, well-lit patio and unique walking trails.
The Porches Inn
A boutique inn with an expansive view of MASS MoCA from its porches, this row of beautifully detailed 19th Century Victorian row houses pays homage to generations of mill worker families who once called them home. The Porches is an intentional blend of the old and new. Retro-industrial architecture mingles with modern comforts, cutting edge technology and a design sensibility that could most closely be described as granny chic (bet you have never heard that term before!). The Porches is decorated with historical furniture and collectibles that range from antique plates and paint-by-number pictures framed on the walls to vintage TV lamps.
Located within walking distance of downtown Lenox, the Birchwood Inn is a quintessential New England B&B, both charming and spacious. Featuring a beautiful view of Lenox from its front porch, the Birchwood Inn is ideal for late afternoon relaxation indoor or out.
Brook Farm Inn
In the footprints of Tanglewood, Brook Farm Inn features a massage studio, library and more. The inn features 15 guest rooms, all with en suite baths, beautiful views and tasteful decor. This quaint B&B is renowned for its locally-inspired breakfast options and peaceful neighborhood setting.
The Orchards Hotel
Located in Williamstown, the Orchards Hotel blends old-fashioned New England elegance with modern convenience. With massive and comfortable rooms, the Orchards is located just a short way from downtown Williamstown and Williams College.
