Dining Highlights in New Mexico

Restaurant Martin

Restaurant Martin is the embodiment of a 20-year dream to create the perfect balance of refined and comfortable. Chef Martin Rios and his wife Jennifer are long-time Santa Fean’s with a commitment to locality – Martin volunteers for Cooking with Kids, and Jennifer is president of The Horse Shelter. Chef Rios, a native of Guadalajara, grew up in Santa Fe and received his formal training at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. He has trained in some of the world’s most honored restaurants and with well-known culinary masters. He brings his long-standing love of cuisine to Restaurant Martin.

The Compound Restaurant

The Compound Restaurant has a heritage rich in history and regional influences. Before its incarnation as a restaurant, this adobe home was the centerpiece of a group of houses on Canyon Road known as the McComb Compound. A recognized leader in Southwestern cuisine, Chef Mark Kiffin has chosen to create and focus his menu around the true regional ingredients brought to the Southwest United States by the Spaniards.

Santa Fe Opera Preview Dinner

Blank Canvas Tours guests will be treated to a Preview Dinner at the Santa Fe Opera! You’ll enjoy an opera themed dinner at the open-air cantina on the beautifully landscaped rehearsal grounds. A speaker will offer a brief introduction to the evening’s opera during dessert.

The Love Apple

The Love Apple is a Northern New Mexican restaurant emphasizing local, organic home cooking that is housed in what was once known as the Placitas Chapel. This little catholic church was built around the 1800’s and was in operation for 100 years. The Love Apple believes in working in conjunction with local growers and artisan producers to create menus which feature the regional bounty and exclusively highlight local food.
