Santa Fe Botanical Garden
The Santa Fe Botanical Garden celebrates the relationships among Santa Fe’s unique cultures and landscapes. The Botanical Garden is a new learning landscape of traditional and native plants, sustainable land and water-use practices as well.
Taos Pueblo
The Taos Pueblo is an ancient pueblo belonging to a Taos-speaking (Tiwa) Native American tribe of Puebloan people. The pueblos are considered to be one of the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the United States and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taos Pueblo is a member of the Eight Northern Pueblos, whose people speak two variants of the Tanoan language. The Taos community is known for being one of the most private, secretive, and conservative pueblos. A reservation of 95,000 acres is attached to the pueblo, and about 4,500 people live in this area.
Santa Fe Plaza
The unique downtown walking and historic area is known as “the heart of Santa Fe.” Encompassed in the plaza are historic monuments, restaurants and countless unique art galleries. In traditional pueblo fashion, the plaza architecture is adobe. It’s a unique and wonderful place to explore and understand the history and art culture of New Mexico.
