The Weston Playhouse building has been supported by the community through three war-torn summers in the 1940’s, a 1962 fire that destroyed the original Greek revival building, and flooding which challenged its replacement a decade later and again in 2011. The Weston Playhouse is now Vermont’s oldest and longest-running professional theatre, that offers some of the best theatre in the State. Currently in the midst of a capital campaign to preserve the Walker farmstead in Weston as a year-round center for play development, its future seems brighter than ever.

A historic barn turned theatre, the Dorset Playhouse has been around since 1927 and is a staple of New England theatre. Offering a wide variety of plays and performances, the Dorset Players provides live theatre for the purpose of enriching and entertaining both children and adults through a variety of theatrical experiences.
